VSS Honor Roll for Outstanding Service

The Vision Sciences Society recognizes and commends the voluntary contributions of its members, both as individuals and as groups, to any of the following: the field of vision science, public education or awareness of vision science, science advocacy, promotion of diversity and inclusion, or STEM education.

Nominations may be made by any current Member or Member-in-Training of VSS. The nomination must consist of a document no longer than two pages providing the basis for the nomination and a summary of the nominee’s contributions, along with the nominee’s current CV. Up to three additional supporting letters from any individual familiar with the nominee’s contributions may be included. Nominations should explain the nature and impact of the nominee’s contributions, how the nominee’s work connects to VSS’s mission, and how the nominee’s work went above and beyond the conventional academic requirements for research, teaching and service.

On any given year the VSS Board or a designated committee will select those whose contributions merit special commendation. A brief description of the service activity of the nominee will be posted on the VSS website and announced at the annual meeting.

Notes from Shauney: Need to add info on how to nominate. Will we allow self-nominations? Teach Lily how to use Gravity forms.
