Discounted Rooms at VSS–Overflow Hotel Are Now Available
Currently, all rooms at the Tradewinds Island Grand and the Guy Harvey Hotels are sold out. In an effort to accommodate all of our attendees, VSS has negotiated discounted rates on a limited number of rooms at the Sirata Beach Resort, located next door to the TradeWinds. The Sirata is offering VSS attendees the following rates on traditional rooms:
Wednesday, May 17 – $149.00
Thursday, May 18 – $149.00
Friday, May 19 – $189.00
Saturday, May 20 – $189.00
Sunday, May 21 – $149.00
Monday, May 22 – $149.00

Announcing the VSS 2017 Friends & Family Pass
We are pleased to announce the new VSS Friends and Family Pass. This pass will allow your family and friends to enjoy some of our fun VSS social events. For $50.00, your travel companion can attend the Opening Night Reception and the amazing Demo Night Beach BBQ, as well as enjoy all Coffee/Snack Breaks and the Daily Continental Breakfast! Passes are only $10.00 for each additional family member.
To purchase a Family & Friends Pass, please visit the VSS Registration desk onsite. Passes will be required for entrance to all social events and meals, including the Friday evening Welcome Reception.
Note: The VSS Family & Friends Social Pass does not cover entrance to the scientific sessions. For a guest pass to a scientific session, please inquire at the VSS Registration Desk onsite.
Airport Shuttle Reservations
The are two airport shuttle options available.
Resort Shuttle VSS has arranged for discounted transportation from the Tampa (TPA) or St. Pete/Clearwater (PIE) airports to the meeting hotel, the TradeWinds Island Resorts. The advantage to using the hotel’s shuttle service is that they provide door-to-door service without all the extra stops, plus the charges will be automatically billed to your Tradewinds Resort room account. The one-way VSS fare is $25/person (gratuity not included). The Hotel Shuttle Service will be available for arrivals on Thursday, May 18 and Friday, May 19, 2017, and for departures on Wednesday, May 24, 2017.
All reservations must be made in advance by April 28, 2017. For reservations, please download instructions. For more information, call (866) 403-3303 between the hours of 10:00 am and 6:00 pm ET, Monday – Friday. Identify yourself as a Vision Sciences Society 2017 attendee.

Super Shuttle Reservations can be made 24 hours a day online or by calling (800) 258-3826. If you are making your reservations by phone, please be sure to use the group code “EKL47”. This code is valid from May 12 through May 30, 2017. The following discounts will apply at check-out: $2.00 one-way or $5.00 round-trip.
Super Shuttle shared ride service from Tampa Airport to the TradeWinds is $25 one-way.
Exclusive non-stop van service can be reserved for:
