Symposium Submission Deadline Extended.

The deadline to submit symposia for VSS 2022 has been extended to Friday, November 26. Please note that although symposia are in-person, we understand that some speakers may not be able to travel to Florida in May. VSS will accept requests to allow 1 or 2 speakers per symposium to present virtually. Please include a brief explanation with your submission of requests for virtual presentations and indicate whether the presentation may be switched to in-person if circumstances change at the time of the conference.

VSS Symposia deal with contemporary and cutting-edge topics in vision research. Symposia can be organized by content area or by method and should focus on broader conceptual themes than a typical VSS presentation. Symposia contain between 4 and 6 talks lasting 20-30 minutes each, with additional time for discussion.
Visit the updated Symposia Submission Guidelines on our website for more information.

Abstract Submissions Now Open!

VSS is now accepting abstracts to be considered for presentation at the VSS 2022 Meeting. Before submitting, you must renew your membership for 2022.

VSS recognizes that situations related to COVID-19, such as restrictions on international travel, may prevent some members from delivering their presentation at the in-person conference. For this reason, VSS is preparing virtual options. Details of virtual options will be available on the VSS website before the abstract deadline.

Accepted and presented abstracts will be published in the meeting program and online in the Journal of Vision.
VSS continues to closely monitor travel restrictions and other COVID-related developments that may affect the plans for the conference.  We will let our membership and registered attendees know promptly about any updates. As always, we are working diligently to best meet the needs of VSS membership and the vision science community.
