How to Reserve a Room at the Tradewinds
The official VSS block of discounted rooms is sold out, however there are still rooms available at the Tradewinds. If you want to stay at the meeting hotel, you can book directly with the Tradewinds (at the online rate - currently about $200/night). The Tradewinds will WAIVE the resort fee of $35 for VSS attendees who book directly with the Tradewinds. To reserve a room, you mustt either calll the 800 number (800-808-9833) or send an email. Ask for Group Reservations when you call. Tell them you're with VSS and that the resort fee is waived.
We recommend you check the online rates prior to calling in your reservation, as they do change daily.
NOTE: if you book a room through a wholesaler like hotels.com, the hotel will NOT waive your resort fee!
VSS Airport Shuttle
VSS has arranged for discounted transportation from the Tampa airport to the meeting hotel, the TradeWinds Island Resorts. The advantage to using the hotel's shuttle service is that they provide door-to-door service without all the extra stops. The one-way VSS fare is $23/person (gratuity not included). The VSS Shuttle Service will be available from Monday, May 12 through Friday, May 22, 2014. All reservations must be made in advance by Friday, April 7th.
