Airport Transportation

The Fort Meyers airport (Southwest Florida International Airport - RSW) is approximately 30 miles from the Waldorf Astoria Naples. This page gives some options for getting from the airport to the hotels. Capacity is limited so you are urged to consider reserving your transportation before arriving at the Fort Meyers airport. There are two options for getting from the airport to Naples: either a rental car or a taxi.

There is also a small municipal airport in Naples (APF), however there are very few flights servicing the airport. For information on ground transportation from the Naples Municipal Airport, go here. Office: 239-643-0733.

NOTE: The VSS airport shuttle service offered in previous years is not offered this year.

Rental Car Reservations

Avis is offering VSS attendees special rates on rental cars. The group discount offers VSS attendees discounts of up to 25%. By using the special VSS number, AVIS will automatically search for the lowest rate being offered at the time of reservation. Taxi Service

Taxi rates run between $65 and $75 to Naples for 1-3 passengers. Most taxi companies will charge $10 for the fourth person or for a stop at a second hotel.

Traveling from Miami, Ft. Lauderdale or Tampa

If you're traveling from an airport other than RSW, check the airport websites for the best transportation options into Naples. In most cases, renting a car is the least expensive route.

Tampa International (TPA)

Distance from Ft. Meyers airport: 144 miles

Bus: Greyhound bus offers 2 trips a day from Tampa to Naples (10:45 am and 4:15 pm). The trip takes 5-6 hours and costs between $34 and $52 depending on the type of purchase.

Miami International (MIA)

Distance from Ft. Meyers airport: 143 miles

Bus: Greyhound bus offers 3 trips a day from Miami to Naples (7:10 am, 11:00 am and 1:05 pm). The trip takes approximately 3 hours and costs between $27 and $40 depending on the type of ticket purchased.

Greyhound bus offers 1 trip per day from Miami International Airport to Naples at 12:20 pm. The trip takes approximately 4 hours and costs between $30 and $44 depending on the type of ticket purchased.

Ft. Lauderdale (FLL)

Distance from Ft. Meyers airport: 130 miles

Bus: Greyhound bus offers 3 trips a day from Ft. Lauderdale to Naples (8:15 am, 12:01 pm and 2:05 pm). The trip takes approximately 2 hours and costs between $30 and $43 depending on ticket purchased.

Driving

If driving into the Waldorf Astoria Naples, parking is available free of charge to meeting attendees. Parking is located in the 2 floors under the hotel. Overflow parking is available on Seagate Drive.
